INTERNATIONAL
TRADE
|
- Increase employment and revenue opportunities for regional companies by accessing previously untapped foreign markets. This objective can be fostered by jointly promoting trade educational events and workshops on a regional basis.
- Continue to work with and recruit companies to participate in trade missions and trade shows. Our focus should be on countries that have been identified as good prospective markets for regional goods and services.
- Promote and foster our ports' development and thus enhance opportunities for trade. Much of our focus will be to promote trade with countries located in Central and South America.
- Continuously work to improve the trade related infrastructure serving our communities. This will include the improvement of transportation links and the promotion of key trade legislative issues.
