The Alabama MBEC’s strategic partners and their value-added service are listed below:

The Business Innovation Center is credited with assisting several start-up businesses and growing them to multimillion-dollar corporations. They have received national recognition for their business incubator center by Entrepreneur Magazine and other business magazines.

The City of Mobile has a vested interest in assisting the entire population with improving their quality of life. City of Mobile has recently elected it first African American mayor and understands that successful MBEs mean more jobs, more taxes and a better urban community. The City has pledged their continued support to the minority business community and brings contracting opportunities to the MBEC clients.

Commonwealth National Bank has worked with minority business owners for more than 10 years as their primary market. They also understand that successful MBEs will mean more jobs, bank deposits, loans, improved community relations and a better urban community for its employees and customers.

Mobile Area Water and Sewer System (MAWSS) hired an under-utilized business coordinator to assist MBE’s in the desire to conduct business with MAWSS. The President of MAWSS Board of Directors has asked the Chamber to work with the coordinator to supply an ample number of qualified MBE’s in the MAWSS supplier chain.

The Gulf Coast Community Benefits Corporation (GCCBC) is a non-profit corporation located in Pensacola, Florida. GCCBC leadership has attracted several regional and national housing and economic development groups and has begun exploring the potential of collaboration on disaster recovery, hurricane preparedness, workforce housing, community and economic development projects in Northwest Florida. GCCBC brings a large network of MBEs and MBE databases to the MBEC partnership.
