As a wife and mother of five, Pamela Gayle Boykin still found time to attend school to study computer science and graduate with honors. The Semmes resident is a recent graduate of Bishop State Community College and one of the newest additions to the Alabama Minority Business

Enterprise Center (AL MBEC) staff. The center operates under the Mobile Area Chamber and helps minority-owned businesses throughout the state find lending sources, secure governmental contracts, get minority certification and bonding, and develop educational programming.

“I love the challenges my position offers,” said Boykin of being on the AL MBEC team. “I have the opportunity to be involved in everything that takes place in the office.”

Darrell Randle, vice president of the Mobile Area Chamber’s small business development department, said, “Boykin came highly recommended. She has great experience and energy and is excellent at helping others and supporting team members.” “Pamela Gayle is very efficient, cooperative and provides a friendly presence for our clients,” said Pamela Ramos, AL MBEC interim project director. Boykin can be reached at 433-2250 or pgboykin@mbecalabama.org.
