Joined the Chamber: January 2009

Education: Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), International Economic Development Council; graduate, International Economic Development Council; and bachelor’s degree in business administration, Faulkner University, Montgomery, Ala.

Previous Experience: Prior to joining the Mobile Area Chamber, Wayman was director of corporate development and recruitment for the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce.

Department Description: The Chamber’s Economic Development Department is charged with new business development, business retention and expansion, international trade and the Center for Workforce Development for both Mobile County and the City of Mobile. Additionally, the Partners for Growth program, consisting of public and private partnerships and 200 investors, and the Washington County Economic Development Initiative are functions of the department.
